The Knowledge and Development Centre (KDC) focuses on creating sustainable solutions for Mainport Schiphol through collaborative projects with the air transport sector and government. Guided by the KDC Research Agenda, the KDC-board monitors project progress and sets priorities.
In 2024, KDC refined its agenda with expert input, addressing significant future challenges expected within Schiphol’s operational landscape. The updated agenda focuses on five key areas: Safe Airspace and Airport Navigation, Environmental Sustainability, Airline and Airport Operational Efficiency, Capacity Management, and Airspace Redesign & Innovation.
